Welcome to the Waste Exchange

Welcome to the Gisborne Waste Exchange! The Waste Exchange is a unique service that helps businesses connect their unwanted materials and recyclables with new owners through a free online exchange.

NEWS!! From July 1st 2009 the Waste Exchange will be managed more locally with support from your regional council and district councils.

We recommend using the following steps:

STEP 1: If you have something you would like recycled, checkout your local RECYCLING DIRECTORY

STEP 2: If you are a householder or community group looking for free stuff or wanting to donate stuff for free, we recommend visiting the following websites:

Freecycle - www.freecycle.org
Trade & Exchange - www.te.co.nz/
DonateNZ - www.donatenz.com

STEP 3: Register as a member of the Waste Exchange if you have material you would like to divert from landfill or if you are looking for material and resources for your business. Registration is easy and free register or login here . Once registered, you will be able to email directly your interest in any of the resources on the site.
